Membership Information

The Atlanta Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development promotes workplace learning and development. The Atlanta Chapter of ASTD, established in 1955, is one of the five largest with over 600 members. We provide support and resources to our members who are professionals in areas such as Human Resource Development, Organizational Development, Performance Improvement, Career Development, Knowledge Management, Training Design and Delivery, and Organizational Learning.

• Meet other professionals in the field to exchange information, opportunities, and resources in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
• Attend membership meetings with presentations by nationally recognized speakers.
• Participate in workshops, seminars and panel discussions on current trends and issues in training and human resource development.
• Focus in on a particular area of interest through Special Interest Groups (SIGs)such as Career Development, Corporate Training, Independents Networking and Consulting, International, Organizational Development, Sales Performance Improvement, and Technology-Based Learning.
• ASTD Atlanta has established a number of Geographic Interest Groups (GIGs) throughout the State of Georgia such as Atlanta South, Middle Georgia/Macon and NE Atlanta/Athens. All SIG and GIG events are FREE to attend for ASTD Atlanta members.
• Access to the online membership directory for whenever you need to contact another member.
• Discounts - receive discounted prices from our partner relationships!
• Get involved with the Atlanta workplace learning and performance community by helping out through volunteer opportunities
• Take advantage of our Organizational Memberships, which differ from individual memberships primarily in that they are transferable. For example, if you are the manager of training, you can purchase memberships (at a special rate) for all or part of the group. If someone leaves the group, the membership stays so you can assign it to another member.

Discounted Membership for those in Job Transition

In recognition of the current economic times, The Executive Board of ASTD Atlanta has announced a discounted Chapter membership rate for learning professionals in job transition.  Those who are currently unemployed are eligible for the discounted new or renewal membership rate of $50.  The normal rate is $90, so this offers a significant savings to those in job transition.

How do I join? 

There are three ways to join ASTD Atlanta:

Fax - Print the application form; fill it out, and fax it to our chapter administrator at 404-240-0998.
